Interim Executive Director
Erin Chandler has a passion for working with nonprofit agencies. Before coming to Komen, Erin worked as a Community & Corporate for Relations Manager for The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Sacramento and Development Officer for Goodwill Industries of Sacramento and Northern Nevada, initially joining Susan G. Komen Northern & Central California as Development Manager. She brings multiple years of developing community partnerships, organizing fund-raising events, and other fund development activities. Erin also brings a passion for funding development in the breast cancer arena because she has witnessed first-hand the impact of this disease. Her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when Erin was a late teenager. Since that time, she has watched her mother become a breast cancer advocate and has participated in many Susan G. Komen races with her mother. Erin knows the importance of finding a cure so that women, especially those who are may have barriers to services can survive and thrive.

Sharon Johnson is a two-time breast cancer survivor and has been involved with Susan G. Komen® since 2001. She will also direct community grants to organizations that will provide breast health and breast cancer projects that address Komen’s funding priorities. Sharon explains, “It is the strength and courage of those who have battled breast cancer that fuels my passion for this cause. My goal is to make early detection and diagnosis a reality for all women and men by eliminating the disparities that prevent them from gaining access to quality care.”
