  • REGISTER YOURSELF! Recruit and register Teammates!
  • START early and set goals for your Team’s size and pledge totals with deadlines
  • ASK, ASK, ASK! It’s important
    • Ask anyone and everyone
    • Ask your teammates to recruit their family and friends to join the team. Even if they say no, odds are they’ll give you a donation
  • CHOOSE a co-captain
  • SET up a committee for help with recruitment efforts
  • HOLD a kick-off event as a fundraising and Team building opportunity.
  • GET other company departments or offices involved in a friendly competition
  • INCENTIVIZE!  Make your own early bird and top fundraising incentives for your team

  • CREATE team business cards. Include your team name, your contact information, info about RFTC and our mission. Print business cards for your team.
  • INVITE individual participants to join your team
  • SEND a recruitment e-mail to everyone in your address book
  • INVOLVE the community: Ask vendors and customers to join in the fun!
  • TURN a casual conversation into a recruitment opportunity
  • USE your Participation Center for possible participants to learn about your team, Komen North Florida and RFTC
  • SHARE your story, tell people why you are participating in the RFTC
  • DECORATE your office or a community bulletin board with recruitment posters and signup sheets.
  • WRITE an article for your company newsletter.
  • LIST members names, how their money helps fight breast cancer locally and information on how to join your team
  • MOTIVATE your team in their letter writing campaigns.
  • USE memberships to various organizations such as clubs, teams, churches, etc. to get the word out about your team
  • POST signup sheets at local gyms and bike shops. Ask your company to provide trinkets to those who join your team
  • CREATE “Ask me about my RFTC team” buttons for yourself and your team. When people ask —tell them about your team What a perfect time to ask them to join!
  • KEEP your company informed
  • ENCOURAGE them to speak at company departmental meetings about your team.
  • ASK them to identify someone in their department to be a team leader for their department’s recruitment activities
  • KEEP your team informed. Use newsletters and/or emails to keep team members motivated and inspire them to recruit others
  • TEAM members don’t just have to be your coworkers. Encourage your team members to recruit their spouses, children, neighbors, and friends to walk on your company team.
  • MAKE your team visible.
  • PEOPLE can’t join your team if they don’t know about your team

  • ORGANIZE team rallies … People will join if they see others having fun
